Quick and Easy Tomato Bath Recipe


Tomato Bath is one of the delicious and spicy breakfast which is quite famous in south part of India. There are multiple names for this dish such as Tomato Rice and Tomato Pulav. Once you try this tomato bath recipe, it will become your next favorite dish. It can be prepared for breakfast and also for Dinner/Lunch time. Ingredients


1. Tomato - 5 Nos
2. Onion - 2 Nos
3. Oil - 3 tbsp
4. Ghee - 1 tbsp
5. Bay Leaf - 1
6. Cinnamon - 2 pieces
7. Clove - 3 pieces
8. Garlic - 10 pieces
9. Ginger - 1 inch
10. Green Chilly - 5 Nos
11. Pudina Leaves (Mint leaves) - 1/4 Cup
12. Green Peas - 1/2 Cup
13. Red Chilly Powder - 1 tbsp
14. Coriander Leaves - 1/2 Cup
15. Soaked Rice - 150g
16. Salt - 1 tbsp







Procedure


Step 1:
Heat the cooker on medium flame and add cooking oil, ghee, and bay leaf into it. Add chopped onions and fry until it turns golden brown.

Step 2:
Add cinnamon, clove to the grindstone to make powder. Add ginger, garlic to the powder and smash well. 

Step 3:
Add the grinded paste into the cooker and fry for a minute. Add chopped tomatoes and green chilly to fry. Add mint leaves and fry for a minute. Later on, add green peas, red chilly powder, coriander leaves. and mix well. 

Step 4:
Add soaked rice (soaked for 5 min) to the cooker and mix well. Add water to cook (preferably 1:2 ratio), salt to taste, and give it a stir. Now, close the lid and wait for 2 whistles. Mix the tomato bath and serve hot!
